Steel Shepherds: A Fantasy TRPG set in a Soft Apocalypse

 

The thrumming of boots swarms the streets, followed by a rhythm of blades being unsheathed. You first take up rapier, then your pistol. It's time to stand and deliver! 

Steel Shepherds is a game about explorers, bards, gunslingers, and wielders of weird eldritch magics. explore ruins and rediscovered relics of the past and find artifacts of cosmic origins. Travelling from place to place is part of the adventure, not a footnote, and survival is critical to living in the Wild Frontier.   

Steel Shepherds runs on a Dice pool system; each of the character's 7 Stats has a D6P linked to it (aside from Luck). Players have a wide variety of of Class Abilities to mix and match from Level 1 to define and grow their character as they play. With so many abilities to choose from, no character will be the same. Allowing you to play the warrior/travelling bard hybrid of your dreams.  

The game includes six classes, each with various class abilities to mix and match with.

• Apothecary

Either travelling or running a practice, Doctors and Apothecaries are at the forefront of modern science, medicine and Alchemy and are widely sought after in the frontier. 

• Jaeger

Monster hunters who get paid to slay eldritch beings that threaten the crumbling remnants of society.

• Martial Artist

Masters of fighting unarmed or through ancient weapon styles. Most martial artists get their training while practicing at weapon academies or other schools. 

• Merchant

those who are good at finding other people's junk or lost relics to sell for coin. 

• Musketeer

The musket and rifle were at the forefront of warfare in the Dragon's Throne,  masters in their craft and became knowledgeable in tactics are still deadly foes to face. 

• Sellsword 

Soldiers and Mercenaries are the most common lines of work you’d find as a Sellsword. They make their money with their martial skill and are good at what they do.

I'm still working on this game, but I feel as though it is ready to be played by a wider audience. I plan to release more in the future.
